This is a traditional Henley pullover with a modern twist and was inspired by the Old River Road that designer Kay Hopkins has walked along for many years. Knitted seamlessly from the top down, the yoke and body are worked back and forth until the front Henley opening is closed, and then the body is worked in the round. The textured stitch pattern is easy to memorize, and you have the added options to choose your hemline finish and the contrast finishes on the Henley button placket. Collar stitches are picked up from the cast-on edge to add stability to the neckline so it doesn’t stretch.
Knitted in Cumbia Fingering, a lustrous blend of Masham wool, Merino and mohair, makes this project full of texture and feels soft and warm when worn next to the skin.
